What does a barrister do?

There are two main types of lawyers in NSW–barristers and solicitors. Barristers are independent, specialist advocates who are trained to appear in a courtroom, in commissions of inquiry and in various forms of dispute resolution. Barristers also provide advice on legal problems for clients, solicitors, businesses and governments.

Outcomes for clients may improve significantly when barristers are involved at the earliest possible stage after a criminal charge is laid. The expertise of your barrister is also crucial to a successful outcome in your matter.

What can William do for you?

I would like to formally thank you. I’m so grateful to have such a great and supportive team. I would like to thank the time and efforts you and [my solicitor] take to reach such achievement. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened without you. No words could I use to express my appreciation. Once again, thank you.”
